Daejeon (Republic of Korea) Face-to-face, 26 October 2021 – The 6th Champions Workshop was jointly held with CoE, Statistics Korea (KOSTAT) and Interpol NCB Seoul with a focus on enhanced understanding of the work of both parties; potential areas for future collaboration. The Foreign Affairs Bureau of the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) hosts Interpol NCB Seoul which focuses on conducting international investigations on transnational organized crimes; strengthening the foundation for international cooperation.
The workshop primarily discussed the needs of Interpol NCB Seoul; Ms. Hyun Jung Park, Coordinator of the CoE, provided introduction of the work of the CoE followed by Ms. Jonghee Choi, Deputy Director of Statistics Korea (KOSTAT), and Mr. Seunghun Park, Superintendent of Interpol NCB Seoul presenting on respective
organizational backgrounds.
Other topics discussed include data usage, the need for standardizing crime classification and possible areas for future collaboration.
